Tuber of the Week #45: Are You with Me?

Our youngest's (who is on the spectrum) current fixation is farm animals.

He can't get enough of Old McDonald Had a Farm, The Farmer and the Dell, or any other song/show/book that mentions cows, horses, pigs, sheep, or roosters.

The following video, sponsored by the California Milk Advisory Board, is one of his favorites (no, he has not seen the movie that the commercial pokes fun at).

We recruit his stuffed animals for a fun reenactment, and I add my best Scottish English accent--and voila, we can play along with this one.

If you want more "Happy Cows" entertainment, you can go here and meet Alicia.

Slamdunk:
Keep your son tuned into things like this...plenty of time (later) to "discover" Orwell's Animal Farm...
(not as user-friendly as this video...lol)

Stay safe out there.

I remember when my oldest had an Old McDonald fixation. We were on vacation and had gone hiking in the Indiana Sand Dunes. He would scream until we sang the song. So we sang the song for 4 miles. The other hikers looked at us really funny too. By the end, we were coming up with some really creative animals on the farm - skunks, bears, marmosets....

Love this, and so happy your child is enamored with farm animals as opposed to... most everything out there nowadays!

Good on you for reenacting the commercial!

The cows are too calm, know the calvary is on the way … but who?

Never gave a thought to the "Boss."

Apparently your youngest and I share the same sense of humor.

Thank you for your comment. Things are okay here. Just had to part with a dear friend, and am adjusting to that.

I love the Happy Cow commercials! They engender such good feelings. I can only imagine how adorable and hilarious the re-enactments must've been...!

this is very cute:)
there are some great dairy farms out there, but there are also horrible factory farms without any pasture for dairy cows or sheep.
i'm a sucker for border collies:)
