THE MRS: Now Sissy, your father will be there tomorrow to watch your school's musical to honor grandparents. I am sorry, but I can't make this one. Are you ok with that?
SISSY: Sure mommy. Since daddy does not have any hair, everyone will think he is a grandpa anyway.
Kids.
On second thought and with a "when dealt lemons, make lemonade" attitude, perhaps I can capitalize on this.
Hmm. Since I am now eligible for the senior citizen discount, anyone want to join me for lunch, I'm buying?

Have a good weekend everyone.

Kids are a hoot. BTW, you are only as old as you want to be. I'm sure your youthful heart shows through.
Have a great weekend too,
Tammy
This made me chuckle, got to love the honesty of children, it is so refreshing in a world when almost daily we are being served lies.;)
Yes please to that lunch invitation.;)
Have a great weekend as well,
xoxo
Kids, eh? hehehe! ♥
Love this .. made me have a good giggle ... cheers Hilary
My youngest is in Kindergarten and has no filter. Love it. The innocence of youth.
I'll meet you at four at Lubys!
ROFL. So that would mean a lot of grandfathers play for the NFL and NBA. :D
hah! Kids are awesome
hahahaha take her with you and your sure to get that seniors discount
I will never forget watching Green Acres reruns with my then 5 year old and every commercial was for some kind of weight loss pill or the like. She looks over at me with a knowing look and says how I really need to buy me some of that stuff. Grrrrrrrr! :O)
LOL!! That's great :)
I love what comes out of children's mouths. No filter.
Have a great weekend!
Slamdunk:
Wifey ribs me about that "discount" thing too, and I'm not even 60 (nest year)...LOL.
I tell her take it easy....I'm getting there as quickly as possible...!
John Denver got it right:
Some days ARE DIAMONDS...others are STONE.
In that, there is consensus.
Have a great weekend.
Stay safe out there.
I remember when I couldn't wait to turn 16 so I could get my driver's license, 18 to vote, 21 to buy beer without fake ID, 25 for car insurance rates to drop. And then 55 to whip out my AARP card for a senior citizen discount. Now I don't drive or drink anymore and can't decide which professional liar to vote for......I MUST BE 15 AGAIN!
Gotta love 'em! Just wait 'til you have grandkids...
When life give you lemons, trade them in for limes and make Mojitos. ;-)
At her age, she's cute enough to get away with that kind of statement.
*snert*
Oh, they are so painful with their truths sometimes. Glad you have a sense of humor!
Kids - gotta luv 'em!
Happy Weekend :)
When my father was looking at me in the hospital nursery, the man next to him turned and said, "Which one is your grandchild?"
You got a reprieve. :)
As one of your senior citizen readers. I remember when I first turned 50 (9 yrs ago) and my granddaughter said, "Oh, oh Nana, you're half a hundred!"
Gotta love 'em!! LOL
That is so cute. Made me giggle. The discount will come in very handy in this economy. Hahaha.
LMAO. Love that!
haha...ouch...gotta love kids...
Aha! That's just too funny. I worked at an elementary school for a while. One kindergartener forgot my name one day and just referred to "that brown lady".
Ok, that's funny.
My daughter recently laid into me about missing her first bball game.
Me: I'm so sorry I couldn't be there for your game, babe.
Her: That's ok, maybe you can support the next sport I'm in.
Sigh.
I LOVE it! When The Girl was 3, she walked up to my dad, who was "napping' on the couch, rubbed his head and said, "Poppie, do you brush your hair too much? Is that why it all fell out?"
That's hilarious. Some people's children! ;)
Time to bring out the rug? {*grin*}
Haha aw, that's adorable.
that's very funny:) i'm older typically than the people i live with these days. one of them asked why i don't grow out my hair like i used to. well, i said, i don't have as much on top, to which i had to answer a couple questions.
there's nothing like having to explain one's deficiencies out loud, or have them explained to us:)
Seasoned -- good word choice. Wishing you a blessed Advent.
harhar!:D
that was funny! sometimes kids say the most innocently hilarious thing. ha!
Oh dear.. that is hilarious!
Haha! When Kroger automatically gave me the senior discount I began to dye my hair...two years later, and no discount, and having to dye it every 2-3 weeks, now I wish I had left it as it was!
This gave me quite the chuckle. As for the senior citizens discount...the hubby (who has a receding hairline and is thinning a bit on top) came home from the store the other day and stated the clerk gave him a senior citizen discount. He didn't know whether to be elated or miffed! I laughed and asked him how old one should be to get a discount...I know that was a tad mean!
